It may not be a dazzling metropolis but it’s uniquely Guernsey and it was looking picture perfect on the way past this evening.

Loving all the colour that’s appearing at the moment. Took a small hike around the cliffs this afternoon and it felt so good in the warm sunshine. This time year give so many opportunities to explore but picking where to go is the difficult part.

A little choppy on the way to work this morning. After the tide went down it was a stunning day, and all was good.

We had a little visitor this afternoon in the form of Jude the dude. My biggest concern over this last year was what long term impact it might have on the kids. It’s so nice to see them playing together once again.

If I had to name one beach out of the 30 which holds the most memories, L’Ancresse would probably be it. A more abstract view from he carpark but it feels like somewhere thousands of miles away.

After watching the rain roll in over Hanois, the sun started to break through and I knew I had to move. Just around the corner the sheep presented themselves perfectly with Fort Grey and the rainbow taking centre stage in an amazing burst of colour.

Along with about 8 other lambs, the little one was only born yesterday. I got talking to the owner who said more were on the way. You can see them from the road driving inland from Bordeaux.

Barely enough time to open my eyes this morning before hitting the road to watch the day unfold. Couldn’t let this one go unseen.

Another beautiful spring day on the rock. Hardly a breath of wind and the sea was almost completely flat. Hopefully this is a sign of a long hot summer to come.

There’s something about Rousse that draws me back throughout the year. I’ve had a vision for an image (other that the same old landscape shots I get sucked into) but never found the right focal length, position or light to get it right. Today, I found my vision.
It needed to be layered. Foreground, middle and background with features of the bays in each. I’m happy with this and I can finally let it go!

I like to imagine this jet was headed for somewhere far far away, somewhere hot and exotic. For now, all we can do is dream and open up Google Earth!

In my eyes, the Spring Equinox marks the start of summer. From her on it’s only going to get better. Warmer weather, sunnier and longer days and so much more to do.
Couldn’t think of a nicer way to start the Spring to be honest.

After over six years exploring what the island really has to offer, you get to know where and when to find things. Discovering places and the animals within them, you can return year after year and almost guarantee you’ll be greeted with the some spring joy. You can find these lambs along the track next to Le Guet.

The final burst of light before the sun dipped below the clouds behind me. I loved the contrast between the dunes, the grasses and the darkening sky.
