Daffoldils are starting to pop up across the island bringing a pleasant and vibrant colour to the cold winter months.

The waterwheel in the image was the last to function in Guernsey in the late 1930's

A very damp and miserable day, I found myself just people watching for a while.  This lady seemed to stand out for me, mayeb it was the way she was looking or the way she was dressed.

Either way, it summed up the day pretty well.  My camera aslo got soaked again, still no faults!

GOLD RUSH

09.365

A beautiful morning at the Bathing Pools.  The wind was blowing in from the South West so a long exposure seemed right to add movement in the sky whilst showing the golden colour of the suns glow on the concrete steps.

PROJECT 366 COMPLETE

My second 365 Project (Code named 'Squid Ink') has come to an end so it's time to move on to a fresh new adventure.

I strongly recommend that anyone should take on a photography project, even if it takes years to complete.  There are so many endless possibilities out there that would otherwise be overlooked.

Its not about being perfect and the only person you are trying to impress is yourself.  No Clients, no rules, just document your life and shoot what you love, everyday!  Practice makes perfect!

I have to thank my wife Danni for being so patient with me, without her support I couldn't have manged this project.  Another big thank you to my two children who have to deal with a camera in their faces far too much (sorry kids).

PROJECT 365 COMPLETE

My first ever photography project has now come to an end!

This has been an extraordinary personal achievement as well as a much needed push to hone my skills.  I have discovered many new places and seen some wonderful things throughout the year.

I decided to create a collage which would become a permanent reminder of my adventure. (Click on the image below for a larger view)

I have also put together a short video slideshow to allow me to quickly share my year with as many people as I can.

THE TOUZEAU FAMILY

Meet the Touzeau family, some of which I have known for many years.

Sarah and myself worked together until recently when she moved to London with her partner Oliver.  Phillip and I go back many years when cycling was the other love in my life.  Almost 15 years on, Phillip and his wife Dionne now have two beautiful children, Elizabeth and Rosie.

Sarah, Oliver and Simon had made the short trip back to Guernsey for their mum and dad's wedding anniversary which presented the perfect opportunity for a family photograph.
