One of those places I visited back in 2015 and never got round to going back, until now. Battled with intense sunlight, blown out highlights and even sea spray at 100 metres up but still a stunning view.

Credit to a local hotel worker who spotted these in St Pierre Park today. Wikipedia tells me that they are poisinous, but, if parboiled they can be eaten and hold hallucinogenic properties. Magic!

Nicknamed the 'Stump Stabber' these parasitic wasps tap the wood with their antennae testing for hollows in the wood where grubs are burrowing. They lay their eggs which will then feed on the grubs. Pretty cool!

Today marks the 1000th consecutive day of shooting since it all began on 1st January 2015. Personally this is a big milestone for me as it’s something I remember thinking about years ago and never thought I would manage it. I nearly gave up after three months!
The passion is definitely still there and I’m really looking forward to shooting in the Autumn and Winter months. The atmospheric, cold and frosty mornings are a dream to work with.
I’m still undecided about what to do when this third 365 is over but I feel an LRPS disdinction is on the cards.
NB. The image was shot at Le Gouffre shortly after sunrise. I had to wait a little while for the sun to appear over Icart headland so the light is a tad stronger than I wanted.
