Guernsey may be a tiny island but when you can start your week off with views like these, for a short while you can forget it's Monday and remember how lucky we are.

The 'infamous' Pea Stacks on the Jerbourg headland. This location is probably best at this time of year as the sun sets clear of the coastline, leaving a golden glow right until the last minute.
Still working on the 'wider' panoramic version.

Battling the elements along the East coast. Pretty wet and windy for most of Saturday but had an hour to kill whilst Finley was sleeping in the car. No excuses but it was a struggle to find inspiration.

It's really starting to feel cold and wet at the moment but believe it or not, the shortest day of the year is only 6 weeks away!

My trip to Lihou was cut short by torrential rain. Not a single person in sight and a very wet Jam Jar by the time I crossed back to Guernsey. This is the only usable photograph I came back with. To be continued...

Rain and sunshine, the perfect rainbow mix! It's all about being in the right place at the right time but years of studying the weather and making use of technology can really help predict the best conditions and locations. Also keeping the kids busy in the car with cartoons while waiting :)

Quick walk in the park before a meeting this morning. I've tried getting this place to work in good light but it seems to work best on a grey misty day. Slightly different composition to a much foggier version earlier this year.

These tiny insects are only a few millimeters long but still fascinating to look at close up. Focusing this close is a massive challenge, working with a microscopic depth of field. I was also lying on my belly in a patch of wet stinging nettles to get this shot!

The moorings at Le Gouffre are now empty for the Winter but today felt like a late summer afternoon in the sun.

Working this project around everyday life is not as easy as it seems. The seasons change and so do the clocks. Somedays the best thing to do when your short on time is revist the places you have right on your doorstep.
