St Peter Port is filled with quaint little alley's and historic steps. The beauty of shooting at night is the light doesn't change so you can take your time and go with the flow.

This little lamb popped out into the world as I was watching the others playing in the field. Didn't think it was alive at first but it was walking and feeding within 15 minutes.

The Arcade in the heart of our town with an eerie silence, only broken by a few passers by.

Last day of the astronomical winter and it felt like mid December. Sleet showers and frozen rain for a majority of the day, even the fishing boats were staying put today.

Living in the North of the Island, every few weeks you can hear the distinct sound of the cars racing on the beach. I lasted about 30 minutes before my fingers went numb!

Alana took her first horse riding lesson today from a gift she was given at Christmas from Nathan and Lou. She absolutely loved it!

Stuck for ideas I decided to head back down to Le Creaux Mahie cave, hidden at the bottom of the cliffs on the south coast. Its believed to have been used by pirates by luring in lost ships which in turn was used to store all of the stolen goods.
I added myself again to give some scale to the entrance of the cave. It's the largest in Guernsey.

The roadside hedges are slowly coming to life and with it the insects reappear from hibernation. Spotted a small army of these beetles on a hedge in the lanes soaking up the sunshine. Horrible unflattering light to photograph insects, easily blowing out some of the detail but could easily have been controlled with a scrim. DIY hack needed I think!

Sunrise on the east coast this morning before the grey and dull weather rolled in. Quite a rushed shot with little creativity but I had to get out and see it with my own eyes.

The beauty of living on small island is you're never more than 10 minutes from a beach.

One of the side chambers inside Le Dehus dolmen. Goimg from the information I've read this dolmen is over 5500 year old!

Ever wandered what the inside of Le Gouffre fishing store looks like? Its just full of massive spiders and cobwebs with some spare buoys.

Love these little birds. Taken down on the fishing quay, they seem to be unfazed by people so you can get within a few metres without scaring them off. I've even seem them using the pedestrian crossing on the bridge a few times before. Very civilized!

One of my favourite images from today's local safari tour around St Saviour. Part of the challenge is setting out with a theme in mind and just see what you can find. Luckily for me this pony was happy to stop eating grass long enough for a few poses.

Absolute stunner over the marina this morning. The sea was like a mirror with hardly a breath of wind!

Serious lack of motivation today, but needs must and any shot will do when you hit the wall.

Fancied another walk around Lihou this afternoon with the intention of shooting the Venus Pools. The shot I had in mind needed an overcast or cloudier day but I did find the pools very well signposted.
