Making the most of what mother nature has thrown together in the form of bluebells and fresh green leaves. perfect time of the year for some colourful, vibrant family portraits.

We've been spoilt with sunshine for nearly a week now. Not seeing a cloud for days has made me realise how much of a cloud geek I really am. Spend at least an hour today just admiring the formations!
The road marking had been freshly painted minutes before this shot (hence the cones).

Early morning adventures into the stunning Bluebell Woods. Getting the light right was key for me. I've tried numerous combinations over the last few years but this is one of my favourites.

Another day in paradise! Trying to capture the recent good weather is one image is really difficult with so many places looking stunning at this time of year.
The light in bluebell woods was a bit too harsh so I opted for a classic clifftop scene, heading down to Le Gouffre. Plenty of colourful bugs spotted along the way too :)

Talking to a fisherman this morning who informed me that these Turnstones will shortly migrate 1200 miles to the Icelandic shores for the summer. Now that is an incredible journey for such a small bird!
17.04.18
Some pretty impressive waves along the coast tonight. I know it's nice to see the sun shining all day but it makes the sky so bland and lifeless. First world problems!
16.04.18
Lovely diffused light over the Quay this evening. Making use of the recycled washing machine drums for some foreground interest and those clouds had a electric storm effect going on.
15.04.18
The sun was out but looks can be deceiving. The wind pickied up and the sea was kicking off. A little reminder that it's not quite shorts a t-shirt weather yet!

The first of the cruise liner visits for 2018 holding just over 2000 passengers. very atmospheric conditions on the water, just slightly disappointed the ship didn't arrive an hour earlier to catch the sun coming up over Herm.

Although I don't stop, sometimes I take a mental break and make life easy by shooting familiar things and experiment with different editing styles. I've got loads of ideas for upcoming shoots but they all need to be carefully planned over the next month. Saumarez Manor is minutes way from my work which meant I had an hour to just observe, slow down and enjoy taking pictures.
12.04.18
Went to Saumarez Park to see if the ducklings were around, came out with a photo of a Yellow Bellied Slider Turtle. I'd seen this turtle last year but it seems to camouflage itself very well, obviously not so well today.

Seen some impressive sunsets over the last week and once again tonight didn't disappoint. These are the moments that drive me to keep on going! Guernsey at its best :)

Mum taking her kids for a casual wander round the lanes of St Saviour. The chicks must only be a few days old, one needed a little helping hand when it got left behind.
09.04.18
Spotted this Plum tree in full bloom near Saints Bay. Never had the opportunity to shoot with film so the next best thing is to experiment with Nik software. Vintage Camera - Anolog Efex Pro 2 with some freestyling.
Art for arts sake.

The only break in the clouds over the whole day! I've visited this beach a fair few times the last month but never been happy with the conditions. I think I can finally let it go and move on now!
07.04.18
Me and Finley went to watch the sunset together and I couldn't have asked for a better night to take him. Obviously the camera had to come along for the journey too!
06.04.18
Stunning sunrise this morning but I'm always drawn to curvy lines and the colourful fishing boats.
05.04.18
I had set up on the beach an hour before this but the tides slowly forced me out. These fishing boats should be back in action very soon.
04.04.18
Another battle with sea spray which nearly got the better of me but I persevered and made the best I could from a bad situation.

Spring is well and truly underway and you can't get more seasonal than ducklings. I found 6 of them hanging around the Little Chapel on my travels.
