St Peter Port from above with rain to East and warm sunshine to the West. Mother Nature just can't make up her mind at the moment.

Rain or shine, every day is a new challenge. The torrential rain woke me up this morning and for some reason I thought it would be good idea to go out. Mentally preparing for the challenging seasons ahead or maybe it's one step too far?

Lihou island in the distance with some impressive rays of light behind. The tides were higher than I'd hoped, still plenty of rock pools to play around with.

One of those uninspiring days, so took off the strain and went for the easy option. Lovely light when the rain eventually cleared. The groynes are starting to look a bit like the Easter Island heads.

The 'Off Peak' time of year in Bluebell Woods. Many only ever see it in full bloom in the Spring so this year I wanted to capture at least one image depicting all four seasons, each from a completely different angle. Just before sunrise the fog was really thick so it seemed like the opportune moment to head down for the 'summer version'. I really liked the soft and eerie silence it brings.

Exploring the stunning ground of Le Haye du Puits this afternoon. I have to say it's one of the most beatuiful gardens I've ever seen. I made sure to compliment the gardener who was pruning the roses! This arched doorway caught my eye and I just had to grab a few portraits. Could have spent hours wandering around. The tractors were pretty cool as well :)

Established in the early 1900's, this is a great family day out with a proper Guernsey feel to it. This was a homemade pirate raft with a slide to the side. The kids were loving it. My highlight was the crab racing!

Wandering the shores of Moulin Huet this morning, this dog appeared and stood guard whilst his owner was swimming in the sea. I later found out his name was Stanley.

Nothing but pure blue skies and warm golden sunshine this morning. The only sounds were the birds singing and the fishing boats heading out in the distance.

It's not just about the art, its about giving your soul a voice for freedom of expression!
Here's to a long and adventurous August :)

There's something about sunflowers that really makes everything feel good and you know that summer is in full swing.

Spent a little time wandering around Candie Gardens and stumbled across this hornet hoverfly. Mimiciing the more dangerous stinging hornet, aparently it's one of the largest flies in Britain!

The mesmerizing tunnels of the Underground Hospital. Always good for a rainy day adventure.

Finally got to test out my new kite today. My face was as happy as the print on the kite itself. I did let Alana have a quick go :)

Herm Harbour and Fisherman's beach looking stunning as always #theresnoplacelikeherm

A class winning junior bull at The Royal Guernsey Agricultural & Horticultural show. A great little event for Guernsey but I did wish I'd opted for a swim in sea instead!
25.07.18
Last minute 'grab shot' after spending an hour on the beach with Finley. Today's schoolboy error was not checking my focus after an earlier shot from a different area.
24.07.18
One of my favourite places to photograph, especially in the summer when the sun is so far north.
23.07.18
This is what Guernsey summers are all about. Being outdoors, enjoying the sunshine and just spending a little more time appreciating our surroundings.

Couldn't deal with the crowds in town so we headed to Saints Bay for a swim, followed by a well deserved ice cream at OJ's Cafe.
Loving my sea swimming at the moment, I've even studied Alana's swimming lessons to refine my strokes.
