It’s not easy waking up at 5am on a school day and it’s even more difficult to get out of bed. Some days it’s worth it, others I question my sanity. No pain, no gain right?

Never underestimate an overcast day! Sometimes you just need a little break in the clouds and this can happen.
I need to thank Danni for being so patient with me over the years. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve just dashed out the house a the last minute to grab a photo. This is why I do it, to witness moments like this :)

The kids arrived back from Southampton with a variety of goodies but the sleeping masks seemed to be a big hit. They both create ‘slime videos’ for their pretend YouTube Channel, taking turns to blind guess the types of slime in their hands.

Numerous visits over the last few days to photograph the ducklings and I finally settled on this shot. As the rain was passing over, the ducks took shelter under mum and after ten minutes they all started to emerge.

The islands coastline is stunning all year round but when the Thrift returns it transforms the landscape. Add a rainy sunset into the mix and it’s a magical sight.

What an amazing start to the Easter break. Forget spring, that’s yesterdays’s news, now it’s all about the early summer vibes. Warm continental winds, all day sunshine and beautiful island scenery.
