HEATWAVE

With Mediterranean temperatures, there is only one place to really immerse yourself in a Guernsey summer. The south coast! Half way between Le Jaonet and Petit Bot with amazing views down below. The colour of that sea was very inviting.

PIER STEPS

It’s not until you do some research do you realise how much history Guernsey actually has. During the middle ages, around 1100-1200, St Peter Port used to be a small settlement built on steep cliffs. Half way down these steps there’s a passageway which marked the eastern boundary of the medieval town which lead down to a beach. I would love to go back (fully vaccinated) to see what it was like.

Have a read here, its actually quite interesting!

THE DEEP BLUE

10.06.19

Summer lightning storms off the east coast this afternoon. I was headed for Petit Port but the rumble of thunder was too much to resist. Didn’t capture any lightning strikes but the display was phenominal. The yacht in the foreground and Condor in the middle puts the scale of the clouds into perspective.
