Chilled afternoon with the kids at Iris & Dora, painting mermaids and cars. This place is great to just wander in if your bored and pass a few hours.

The BIG new word in our house. Milo doesn’t quite get it yet and we had to carry him to the car but we’ll get there.

It’s actually been really warm today but as soon as the day was coming to a close, things felt a little autumnal.

Finding inspiration is all part of the challenge but on days like this it’s harder than ever to get a shot I’m happy with. The tides, wind direction and cloud cover were just about favourable to pull this one off. A few more breaks in the cloud would have been nice but you can’t win them all!

Blending in being a tourist in my own home. I think that’s how I’ve managed to get through 1680 days, seeing and doing things that makes Guernsey so unique, sometimes from an outsiders point of view.

Introducing the newest member of the Le Tissier clan. Milo is a 15 week old Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel, flown in from the UK this afternoon. Dog spam is imminent!

50th Anniversary Autocross meeting, first to be held in St Sampson harbour since 2001. Trying to ‘frame’ a shot proved difficult with obvious viewing restrictions.

I could choose to sleep but when you can watch this and listen to the wildlife waking up, it makes it all worth while.

Cutting edge security infrastructure on a popular hedge stall in St Martin. Guernsey finally leading the way in theft deterrence!

Way up there as one of my top three bays in Guernsey. Definitely worth the long walk down, especially to watch a sunrise.

Last day of July, found myself wandering around Pleinmont headland searching for inspiration. Had to jump a few hedges and brambles to get to these ponies and I also discovered the hard way they throw the poo in the hedge!

I’ve been wanting to try this shot for years but for some reason never managed to round to it. Beautiful pink skies just before this but I had to resist the temptation.

For me, it’s all about Shell Beach but anywhere on Herm feels like paradise. The summer season sees thousands of visitors to this small island but come back in the winter for a more secluded and personal experience.

Fantastic afternoon at Rocquaine Regatta, a genuinely Guernsey experience with some great characters. These lads helped build the Viking boat which even had a fully working flame thrower on top!

The island’s beaches have always been a great source of inspiration for me. Les Amarreurs is my ‘go to’ place close to home. Technically a working harbour, there’s always something to shoot.

If Guernsey did views! Oh wait, they do and they’re right on your doorstep. This was my second visit today because why not? This morning’s fog was just too dense but by midday the fog had lifted enough to get a decent view across to Icart.

Always on the lookout for a nice green algae covered rock. The rocks got covered by the tide pretty quick so I had to get low and just gamble with the waves.
