One of the cutest things I have seen Finley do so far. His Arlo dinosaur ran out of batteries so he grabbed his tool kit and attempted to fix it himself.

If I had to dedicate my photography to one genre, it would defiantly be landscape. I love being outdoors and feeling a sense of adventure.
Rain or shine I'll try my best to capture what I see and how I felt at the time. The ever changing seasons produce some visually stunning scenes but sometimes you just have to wait and wait and hope that something magical will happen.

After one of the driest January's on record, the wet weather has well and truly settled in. The storm named 'Doris' is slowly approaching with a little hint of what's to come!

Last day of January and its been another wet and foggy one. I last shot the Val de Terres nearly two years ago to the day so it was time for a refresh. I was hoping that the cars would light up the trees like a tunnel but the best I got was a streak of light on a wet branch at the top of the frame.

Driving to work this morning was like driving into the clouds up a tall mountain. This is Le Bequet Lane, a narrow windy lane in St Martin with a stream dividing the land in two.

Sunday roast at Roc Salt this afternoon with the rest of the clan. Alana made the extra effort to dress up, even wearing her own stick on earrings :)

The whole East Coast has some spectacular views across the channel, but there is something I really enjoy about the Pine Forest. Staring up at the huge pine trees, part of me feels like I've stepped back in time into a prehistoric forest.
I think we should introduce squirels to guernsey and let them make a home down there.
The weather was a little hazy this morning but the colour broke through for ten minutes to give a nice orange glow.

Today has been one of those 'anything goes' days. No plan, no inspiration and no energy. I drove around the lanes of St Saviour and this chicken appeared over a hedge :)

We really have been spoilt with the stunning winter weather recently. I think I'm going to miss the cold frosty mornings. It's probably the closest we will get to snow!

Yet another still, calm and frosty morning over St Peter Port. The only movement in the sheltered Quay was from the birds and the fishermen heading out for the day.

Driving through the lanes of St Martin, you can't help but notice the small details of spring starting to emerge. The Snow Drops, also known as Stinking Onions, are starting to appear on the hedges and fields.

Back in the early 00's we used to head to L'Ancresse and stargaze with a few beers, with not a care in the world. Things are slightly different now but I still love to take an hour and just look up and wander what really is out there.
There were a few clouds blowing in with the icy breeze but I was happy with the overall composition of this shot. Photographing stars is always tricky, especially working with the light pollution almost anywhere you go in Guernsey, but finding a good foreground subject to fill the frame is the key.
