JAPANESE PAVILLION II

307.365

Quick walk in the park before a meeting this morning. I've tried getting this place to work in good light but it seems to work best on a grey misty day.  Slightly different composition to a much foggier version earlier this year.

FRUIT FLY

306.365

These tiny insects are only a few millimeters long but still fascinating to look at close up.  Focusing this close is a massive challenge, working with a microscopic depth of field.  I was also lying on my belly in a patch of wet stinging nettles to get this shot!

FIVE STUMPS

The moorings at Le Gouffre are now empty for the Winter but today felt like a late summer afternoon in the sun.

TIME

304.365

Working this project around everyday life is not as easy as it seems.  The seasons change and so do the clocks.  Somedays the best thing to do when your short on time is revist the places you have right on your doorstep.

CASTLE CORNET

303.365

As the sun rises further south, the cold and crisp mornings really start to feel wintry.  Still the classic Guernsey but with a new weather twist ecery day!

IN THE WOODS

302.365

Post swimming adventures in the woods with Finley.  This boy has no fear and sometimes it scares the life out of me!

FEAR

299.365

I've always wanted to cross the bridge to see the other side of the signal station but the crumbling concrete has never looked too inviting.  Today I overcame that fear of the bridge collapsing and ventured to the other side.

FREEDOM

295.365

After a week of treatment in hospital, Alana finally got to come home today.  Nothing serious, just a minor hiccup in her development as a young lady.  The nurses were amazing and I cant thank them enough.

ROUSSE

Quick trip to the beach with Finley to throw some stones before dropping him to playschool.  Obviously my camera is never more than a few metres away from me :)

SUN PATH

292.365

I really didn't expect much from this morning when I woke up, but a small gap in the clouds formed and sure enough the sun poked through for all of 5 minutes.  The rest of the day was wet and windy!

SILVER LINING

About as pleasant as it got today.  The expression 'every cloud has a silver lining' seemed appropriate for this one.

OPHELIA

289.365

Some surreal dust clouds moving in from the south early this morning, reportedly a mix of desert sand and forest fires ifrom Portugal.  The strangest part for me was the smell of burning wood around 10am.
